Frameworks just wrapped up its second season, but don’t worry we have a new arts show starting this week! Herndon Arts with Amy is a program that highlights the local arts’ scene in the town of Herndon. On the first episode, Amy sits down with Director of the Herndon Regional Wind Ensemble, Dr. Lawrence Walker about his upcoming performance. The Herndon Regional Wind Ensemble will be performing Saturday, August 1st at 6 PM at the Fairfax County 4-H Fair and Carnival at Frying Pan Park. Amy meets Jimmy Cirrito at the Herndon Centennial Golf Course to talk about the genesis of Jimmy’s Old Town Tavern Annual Golf Tournament and what to expect this year for its 18th year. This wonderful event that benefits the Council for the Arts in Herndon takes place Thursday, July 30th at 7:30 AM at Herndon Centennial Golf Course. Amy also visits the Sacred Threads Quilts‘ Exhibition now taking place through July 26th at Floris United Methodist Church. On this episode, she sits down with Vikki Pignatelli, Cyndi Souder, and Lisa Ellis to talk about their quilts and learn more about this unique event.
