Tess Rollins will introduce viewers to local businesses and artisans to share their services and talents. She hopes to share not only what is available in the local community, but also to inspire viewers with some ideas how to “simply enhance” their daily lives. Each episode will also include an associated hands-on project for viewers to create themselves. Episode 1: Asian-Inspired Art with Chiaki Harada
Tess interviews Chiaki Harada regarding her Asian-inspired creations and involvement in the Herndon community. The hands-on project which Tess creates for the viewers is a vellum paper lantern.
Episode 2: Tea Time with Michelle Russell
Tess visits on location with Michelle Russell, Owner of the Pink Bicycle Tea House in Occoquan. Both Tess and Michelle create a hands-on project of mini tote bags and how to wrap chocolate to use as a small gift or favor to give to your guests at your personal events.
