Amy Love was a 9 year old girl in San Francisco Bay area when she discovered she could not play soccer for her local team. Why? Because she was a girl. Love and her family filed a class action suit and won the case. This legal victory young girls to play soccer for their youth teams all over the US. This was in 1974-75.Love went to found a woman’s sports magazine and is currently the chief marketing officer for Violin Memory, a publicly traded Silicon Valley company.
